The registration forms are in and we are now accepting applications for people interested in camping with Ka Pilina at Burning Man this year!
The details are still fuzzy, but we are hoping for a spot on the 4:30 Plaza, as two great friends of ours have conspired to create the Ketchup! installation in the center of 4:30 Plaza. There will be a shaded area for tent campers, basic kitchen facilities, and this year we should have a couple of generators too. Space is limited in camp and we're estimating that there are about 30 spots spoken for already. This means that we will likely only accept another 5-7 people before we call all full.
So if you're interested in camping with Ka Pilina this year we'll need:
Name
Phone
email
date of arrival
date of departure
# of guests
# of cars
willingness to volunteer for camp setup?
willingness to volunteer for camp duties?
what hours/days?
It's not exactly first come, first serve, but the sooner you get your application in the more time we have to look at it!

PS. Please send applications to my tribe.net inbox, I check it regularly! Or if you are one of the lucky few to have my email address you can send it there too.

Re: Ka Pilina themecamp @ Burning Man!
Sat, May 24, 2008 - 6:47 PMAre you guys doing a luau this year? I don't think anyone is taking on the responsibility this year for our camp but I figure some of us will help out with yours if you're doing it again. If you want us to drop by with some food and/or fire, let me know. -

By way of introduction
Tue, May 27, 2008 - 9:20 PMSeth here has drafted^H^H^H^H^Hinvited me to join you good people for 2008, it looks like, to help anchor the haole ghetto. I may have met some of you at a fire jam in Honolulu in Feb/March when I passed through. Anyway, I'm Weird Fred, currently living in the woods on the river below Mt. Hood outside Portland, OR; originally from Alaska and have gotten lost in Puna a time or three. Unfortunately I found my way back.
I'll be pleased to meet your respective acquaintances in BRC, or if any of you make it over for SOAK.
